US President proud owner of iPad
iPad has found itself a high profile fan, with US President Barack Obama revealing that he owns the popular Apple device which he keeps tethered to an RIM Blackberry.
Appearing at a town hall meeting in Washington DC, Obama admitted he had turned his Blackberry off for the occasion because he ‘didn’t want it going off, that would be really embarrassing’ according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
Host Jorge Ramos of Univision then asked Obama if he owned an iPad.
‘I do have an iPad’, Obama said, going on to joke that he also owned a computer.
“I mean, Jorge, I’m the president of the United States,” Obama said. “You think I’ve got to go borrow somebody’s computer?” said Obama to laughter. “Hey, man, can I borrow your computer? How about you? You’ve got one?”
The President did not say which version of the iPad he owned or what he uses it for. Obama and his family are also Mac users, according to a previous story by Macnn.
